Kaleb S.
Oregon
Biography

Kaleb was born October 30th 2007 at 9:16pm & weighed 8 lbs 5 oz, 20"
long. He was a very healthy baby & continued to be very healthy & active. Until
Nov. 2nd 2011, he had a mass on the right side of his brain & we just recently
found out that it is a Malignant brain tumor called "Anaplastic
Astrocytoma".

I went to wake him up on Nov 2nd 2011 & I found him having a full blown seizure.
He was airlifted to Riley Hospital in Indy & was intabated & sedated for 4 days.
It took them till Feb 2012 to figure out what the mass was. He has an inoperable
brain tumor(it is too intertwined in the brain to remove any of it) He has gone
through 6 weeks of Radiation & Chemo. He is currently battling his 10 rounds of
Chemo, his blood levels keep dropping, he has only been able to have 1 round of
Chemo in May & it is now September. He has had 2 Platelet transfusions & 1 Blood
transfusion.

Before all this happend he was happy healthy & smart, he LOVES racing & LOVES
trains. He racing a modefied power wheels that looks like a monster truck & it
is called "Monkey Business" he acts like a monkey so it was perfect, we buy him
anything we see w/ monkey's. He loves going to Monster truck shows(his Daddy use
to drive one) Also any dirt racing(off road trucks & quarter midgets) He loves
playing w/ his trains. He loves all the Thomas & Friends trains. He is a movie
watcher too, he LOVES all 3 Toy Story movies & has them memorized. We also went
to Disney World for his Make A Wish trip & he loves watching Mickey Mouse
Clubhouse.

Kaleb has always been very active since he started crawling, he could run better
than he could walk. He has always been extremely healthy too, he has never even
had the flu. We just recently found out after his biopsy that the mass on his
brain is a Stage 3/High Grade, Malignant brain tumor called "Anaplastic
Astrocytoma". After all this has happend he has lost all his strength in his
left hand(which they said isn't permanent, he just has to retrain his brain to
use that hand again) But if that is all he gets out of this whole thing that is
permanent, then we will be just fine w/ that.

He is still the same boy he was before anything happend &he is still very smart,
he hasn't lost any of the knowledge he already knew. People always ask me how I
am doing & I always say that I am fine as long as he is fine. I love my son with

all my heart & I hate that he has to go through all of this, but he is a very
strong & brave little boy for all he has gone through already.
